Keep an eye on headlines Staying up to date on immigration news and policy changes is easier than it seems, and staying knowledgeable about current events pertaining to immigrants and immigration policy is one of the easiest ways to contribute to positive Many research organizations and news outlets offer newsletters that deliver urgent headlines right to your inbox. You can sign up for newsletters at organizations like the Migration Policy Institute and Amnesty or at your favorite news organization. Join an immigrant-centered nonprofit Many nonprofit organizations actively work on issues surrounding immigration — whether they’re focused on specific ethnic groups, age groups or local communities. If you want to get hands-on, you can volunteer with a nonprofit with one of these focuses and do the most for your community. Organizations like the Brightside Campaign, which provides a variety of services to immigrants across the country, are almost always seeking volunteers. Donating to pro-immigrant organizations like the American Immigration Council helps these powerful advocacy groups continue to provide the positive immigration work they do.
